Visit Knox County Ohio
Knox County Coffee Trail.

Trade the fast lane and sip your way through the scenic route. The Knox County Convention & Visitors Bureau has officially announced the launch of the 2026 Knox County Coffee Trail, an experience designed to connect visitors and locals alike to Knox County’s best brews.

A tapestry of local flavor, the trail highlights the unique personality of Knox County by featuring eight coffee shops, ensuring every corner of the county—from bustling campus life to quiet rural hideaways—is represented. Built to drive foot traffic, promote local spending, and community vibrancy, the Coffee Trail is a strong example of the kind of momentum the Knox County CVB is proud to support and celebrate in Central Ohio and beyond.

"A coffee trail acts as a "bread crumb" path,” says Knox County CVB Executive Director, Olivia Toth. “While a visitor might come for the latte, they stay for the bookstore next door, the boutique across the street, or the park on the way out of town. It creates a multiplier effect where consumer spending spreads beyond just the coffee shops,” says Toth. “Whether you are trekking the Ohio to Erie Trail or exploring the backroads by car, the mission is simple, explore the beauty of our county and sip the best brews we have to offer."

Staff Sips & Tips:

The Knox County CVB Team has made their way around to the fuel stops this month to try some new flavors and insta-worthy latte art. Here are some of our sips & tips;

The Brickhouse Grind (Fredericktown)

  • The infamous Brickhouse Mocha- We like ours hot, with extra caramel!

  • Need breakfast in the AM? Stop by Homestead Family Restaurant for their gigantic pancakes! Best if split with your sweetheart.

Blonde Robin (Danville)

  • Celebrate Valentine’s Day with their latest speciality drink “Chocolate Covered Strawberry”. Mocha paired with strawberry cold foamed tasted just like the real thing! Absolutely divine!

  • Don’t forget to grab your sweetheart a card or gift in their boutique.

Wiggin Street Coffee (Gambier)

  • February’s featured drink is Banana Pancake. A subtle nod to the delicious dish, this hot drink had the perfect amount of sweetness and unique flavor. Bonus; it was topped with epic latte art!

  • Take your coffee to go and stroll Middle Path on the campus of Kenyon College. Filled with gorgeous architecture and public art, it’s a dreamy day-date with your Valentine.

North Main Cafe (Mount Vernon)

  • While it may say “coffee trail”, we’re also here for the tea lovers too. North Main serves up a delicious London Fog that is sure to warm you up on a cold morning.

  • Have time to spare? Order breakfast or lunch at the counter and enjoy your latte a little longer while you dine in.

Happy Bean (Mount Vernon)

  • The Knox CVB staff frequents Happy Bean so much, the staff has our Iced Dirty Chai order memorized. Another place where tea lovers will love to steep a little longer.

  • Don’t miss their gluten-free muffins, breakfast scones and other baked good, prepared in-house and by other local bakers. Talk about curated and hand crafted!

Half Baked Bistro (Mount Vernon & Centerburg)

  • Jamaican Me Crazy Latte is a must try, but beyond that Chef and his team have a full display of rich, handcrafted baked goods. Chef let us try their new Duabi chocolate macrons, and we quickly knew we needed a box to-go.

  • Make room for breakfast or lunch! Half Baked Bistro was recently featured in Knox Pages, referring to them as “comfort food with a passport” and having “dangerously delicious desserts”.

Kolacheez Coffee Bar (Centerburg)

  • Known for their speciality Texas kolaches, Robert and his team are always thinking of new drinks and sweets for their guests. This month we tried their “warm hug in a cup”, the Toasted Snowman Latte.

  • In a rush? Kolacheez has a drive-thru! Have more time to sip and savor? After Kolacheeez, we stopped by the Rusty Redhead at the Village Mercantile to do some thrifting and antique treasure hunting.

Stay tuned, all year long, as our team brings more recs and inspo as you travel the trail!
