A Knox County Tradition
The Knox County Fair is a week-long celebration of agriculture, community, and tradition running July 26 through August 1, 2026 at the Knox County Fairgrounds in Mount Vernon, Ohio.
With roots dating back to 1849, the fair showcases livestock exhibitions, youth development programs, entertainment, and classic fair experiences. Each year, it brings together families, farmers, and visitors from across Ohio to celebrate the county’s agricultural heritage.
At the heart of the fair are 4-H and FFA youth participants, who spend the week showcasing livestock, leadership, and hands-on project work that culminates in judging events and final livestock sales.
Must Stop: The Knox County Agricultural Museum
The Knox County Agricultural Museum preserves over 200 years of regional agricultural heritage, featuring more than 5,000 artifacts, including historic farm equipment, tools, and a restored 1881 log house.
