Autobiography and Memoir: Writing About Life and Family is a course for adult writers who want to compose and share personal lived experiences and family stories. Each session, you’ll generate new writing through exercises focused on nonfiction craft elements. Whether you’re hoping to publish your life story, share a trove of family lore with relatives, or just exploring ideas, this course is for you!
While classes are sequential, new participants may join the workshop at any time. No writing experience is necessary to participate, but basic computer and internet fluency is recommended. Participants are encouraged to bring a notebook, laptop or tablet. All writers age 18 and up are welcome. Course materials are provided.
Classes meet at the Mount Vernon Library’s Multipurpose Room (ground floor) at 201 N. Mulberry Street, Mount Vernon from 6:00pm-7:30pm on the following Wednesdays:

In the event of inclement weather, participants will be notified by noon on the day of each scheduled class to let you know if we'll meet in person or move class to Zoom.
