Join the Knox County Regional Airport Authority for a special community celebration as the new Becker Mining Systems Aviation Education Center is officially dedicated. This exciting open house event marks the unveiling of the airport’s new 10,000-square-foot hangar and education center, designed to support aviation growth, community programming and educational opportunities throughout Knox County.

The day will feature static aircraft displays, plane rides, flight simulator experiences, a ceremonial flyover, touch-a-truck activities, food trucks, giveaways from local businesses and family-friendly fun for all ages. Community members will also have the opportunity to explore the airport and learn more about aviation in Knox County.

Special guests and local leaders will participate in the dedication ceremony beginning at 11 a.m. Free parking will be available on-site, with volunteers directing traffic throughout the event.

The Becker Mining Systems Aviation Education Center will serve as a hub for aviation education, community meetings, Civil Air Patrol activities, and programs hosted by organizations including FFA, 4-H and The Ohio State University Extension.
