Venue: Schnormeier Gallery at MVNU Buchwald Center

Mount Vernon Nazarene University’s Schnormeier Gallery is pleased to present “Coloring My Resiliency,” an exhibition featuring the work of MVNU alumnus Kimberly Rhyan and artist Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart. Rhyan, Class of 2000, passed away on Sept. 26, 2024, after her third battle with cancer.

Through self-portraits, she shares courage, hope, and peace in the face of a terminal illness. Stewart, a cancer survivor, offers her own perspective on healing through art.

The exhibit runs through Nov. 21, with a Gallery Talk on Nov. 8 at 5 p.m., a reception from 6-8 p.m., and a Homecoming Open House on Nov. 9 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
