MTVarts will hold auditions for their summer production of Dolly Parton’s 9 to 5: The Musical on Saturday, April 12, at warehouse14, 14 East Ohio Ave, Mount Vernon, Ohio.
To register, visit www.mtvarts.com, click the registration link, and complete the form. Auditions are open to those 18 and older, with two sessions available: 9:30 a.m. or 12:00 p.m.
Callbacks are Sunday, April 13 at 12:30 p.m., by invitation only. If called back, you’ll receive a phone call from the production manager. Attendance at callbacks is required for those being considered for a leading role.
For lead role consideration, please prepare the required songs for your character. Choral role auditionees should perform a short musical selection in the show's style. A piano accompanist will be available; bring sheet music as CDs are not permitted. Be prepared for a dance call and possible script readings. 9 to 5: The Musical will be directed by Bruce Jacklin, with music direction by Diane Dingler, choreography by Tony Ingham, and conducted by Dave Schubach. Featuring Dolly Parton’s iconic music and lyrics and a humorous, heartfelt book by Patricia Resnick, the show follows three women as they challenge workplace inequality with determination, laughter, and memorable tunes.
