Nonfiction Book Discussion- I'm A Stranger Here Myself by Bill Bryson
After living in Britain for two decades, Bill Bryson moved back to the United States with his English wife and four mostly English children.
His reunion with his homeland was frequently disconcerting. That which had been familiar had become...strange and new.
In this book, Bryson recounts his attempts to requaint himself with his own country. Twenty-five years later, it might be fun to look at his adventures and consider how strange we would find the United States today had we last visited it in 2001.
Read the book and come talk about it, Monday, April 27, 2026, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Solarium. And try not to get TOO nostalgic.
