In 1945, Joe Munroe was given his first assignment for The Farm Quarterly to photograph the famous Walker sheep farm on the edge of Gambier, Ohio. In that same year, Joe and his wife Virginia asked the architect Frank Lloyd Wright to design a house for their family of five. It was to sit on a hillside overlooking the Kokosing River about a mile from Kenyon College. But it was never built. Today, their dreamhouse exists only in Wright’s 24 drawings in this exhibition and in the imaginations of those who view them.
