Merrin Park is the oldest park in the Fredericktown Park District. The park was formed in the late 1940’s to early 50’s. For many years it was the center of all the recreation in Fredericktown. Merrin was host for all youth and adult ball games as well as for basketball, tennis and horseshoe competition. It also was the center for many family get-to-gathers and public village events. Now Merrin Park is one of the main parks for Fredericktown Youth Baseball. There are 3 large shelters people can reserve for family functions, 2 outdoor basketball courts and 4 horseshoe pits. Merrin Park also is a favorite place for people to just have a nice lunch or let the children play on the playground equipment.
